The Real Estate Agents Licensing Board (REALB) hosted an informative Talanoa Session for agents and salespersons in the Western Division on Wednesday, December 7.
During the Talanoa Session, Compliance and Monitoring Officer, Vinal Singh highlighted some of the important issues pertaining to the real estate industry.
In his presentation, Mr Singh inform the attendees that REALB received a total of 59 complaints in the past two financial years.
He said there were 29 complaints recorded between 2020-2021 and 30 between 2021-2022.
Mr Singh said the top four complaints were tenancy issues with the involvement of agents and salespersons, salesperson’s conduct, communication breakdown, and fraudulent documents.
He advised attendees to do the right thing and refrain from engaging in unethical practices.
About 15 representatives attended the Talanoa Session held at Grand West Villas Hotel in Nadi.
